Details: Explore - Create - Have Fun

ART is exciting and fun but is also hugely important in the development of your child’s visual awareness, confidence and creativity.

Classes at the ARTschool are for 4-12 year olds, girls and boys and are held in a bright airy ‘tree-top’ studio environment. Every child is unique; our hands-on workshop approach, developing skills in drawing/painting etc, aims to encourage and develop your child’s individual talents and cultivate his/her natural artistic ability.

Our classes explore creative expression in a range of media and materials including; drawing, painting, design, 3D, clay modelling, papier maché, printmaking, collage, textiles, seasonal crafts, puppets, cartoons etc.   Children have ready access to huge resources in art materials books and magazines covering artists and works of art.  Class sizes are small ensuring individual attention and development in both skills and concepts. But the defining concept is that art is fun!

We have three terms: Sept-Dec, Jan-Mar and Mar-May.  Our terms work toward our end of year Exhibition, held in conjunction with the Kilmacud Art Group. This exhibition attracts hundreds of admiring visitors reinforcing the children’s’ sense of achievement in relation to their year’s work.

You'll find us in St Laurence’s Parish Centre (behind the Millhouse), Lower Kilmacud Road, Stillorgan.
